One of the great features of Plex is it’s ability to automatically match your media to online metadata and pull that information down to display with your media files. While Plex is accurate on this about 90% of the time, there are times when Plex gets it wrong, especially as it relates to your home movies and such. To help you clean this up and customize it a bit more, Plex has a built in media editor that lets you update and change the metadata it displays so you get each entry just the way you want it. In this screencast tutorial I cover how to edit the metadata for your media. I show examples of how Plex could get it wrong and what you need to do to make the changes and make sure those changes stay and don’t get updated again in the future.
